VEGETABLE SALAD

  • head lettuce

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 2 sticks celery

  • salad dressing

 

 
  1. Separate lettuce leaves and wash well.

  2. Break lettuce into small pieces and place in a salad bowl. 

  3. Wash tomatoes and celery.

  4. Chop tomatoes and celery into small pieces and add to lettuce.

  5. Toss salad dressing through the salad.

  6. Chill and serve.

 
 

VEGETABLE SOUP

         
 

Ingredients:

 

Method:

 
         
 
  • Range of different vegetables (potato, onion, carrots etc.)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup rice

  • 2 stock cubes

  • water

 

 
  1. Peel vegetables.

  2. Wash vegetables with cold water.

  3. Chop vegetables into bite size pieces.

  4. Place vegetables in a saucepan.

  5. Add salt and rice.

  6. Use enough water to cover all the ingredients.

  7. Add stock cubes.

  8. Boil vegetables for several minutes.

  9. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are cooked.

 

 
 

STIR FRY VEGETABLES

         
 

Ingredients:

 

Method:

 
         
 
  • 2 medium carrots

  • 1/2 cup chopped broccoli

  • 2 sticks celery

  • 2 zucchinis

  • 2 spring onions

  • cooking oil spray

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 chicken stock cube

  • 1/4 cup water

 

 
  1. Peel carrots.

  2. Wash all vegetables. 

  3. Chop vegetables into bite size pieces.

  4. Combine water, stock cube and soy sauce and set aside.

  5. Coat fry pan with cooking oil spray.

  6. Fry vegetables for several minutes (stirring regularly).

  7. Add soy sauce mix and fry for  1-2 minutes.

  8. Serve immediately.
